When a target counts as broken

These colour the board the moment a reading crosses them.

Packet loss above % Out of the pings in each 15-second cycle. Latency above its own 7-day normal by × times At 3, a link that usually answers in 25 ms turns orange at 75 ms.

How long before an e-mail

The board changes colour immediately either way. These delays only hold the e-mail back, so a blip that clears itself never reaches your inbox.

How it measures Interval between pings e.g. 1s Sets how many pings a 15-second cycle carries: 1s gives 15.

Status

Probe faults

Faults with the measurement itself, not with the network — those are under Incidents. It matters on its own because a silent probe does not look like an outage: targets fall back to “no data yet” rather than “no response”, and the board would sit there looking calm while nothing was being measured.
